Saying goodbye to a friend is one of the most difficult things anyone can do. It's not that the friendship is over from a falling out or misunderstanding.. The friendship will never end. She is leaving. Her good bye was to tell me one last time she loved me, appreciated our friendship. Reading her email broke my heart, I cried like a baby. Yet there is another side of me that is so very glad it's almost over. She has suffered with this massive expanding tumor for months, it's time she has a break. You can go rest now Cheryl....
Cheryl go with Peace & Love....... You had your visitors, you had your family. Now as you say it's just you and Haydn till the end. Jeremy is waiting for his mother with open arms ready to greet you...
Dearest friend I will miss our conversations........but as you say.. I will see you at the "End Of The Rainbow"!
Love Forever & Always........Alicia.....XOX
I am so sorry to hear this. I communicated with Cheryl too though we were not as close as you two were. Cancer is so awful.
ReplyDeleteCrying too now Alli - but you are right, Cheryl has suffered so much recently and it's time for a break.
ReplyDeleteI too will miss her posts and her friendship.
Rest now Cheryl as Alli says xxXxx
Hugs for you Alli, it's so hard losing a dear friend ((hugs)) even when we know it's right that they go now.
Sue every Tuesday and most Thursday's Cheryl would call at the same time.We would chat laugh and talk about the trip we were going to take. then that awful tumor developed She was so perplexed about it 150% certain it was all stemming from a radiation burn. It is sureal all this has happend so quickly...

Alli, I have always kept up with Cheryl's blog and even checked it while I was away....hoping to hear some news. Like so many of the others we have lost, Cheryl will be free of pain and she will be sadly missed but for all of our sisters that we have lost there will always be a special place in our hearts forever.
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely losing to many good women to this lately.
